About Saori:
Saori is the anxious but passionate DJ for the unit Merm4id. She was reluctant to join Merm4id due to her confidence issues but was coaxed into it by her friend Rika. Saori has grown so much throughout the series and continues to improve her skills and raise her confidence!
Why I love Saori:
I started playing D4DJ in 2021 and fell in love with Saori right away. My first favorite when watching First Mix (which Saori is not in) was Muni, but as soon as I began to play the game Saori became my insant number one. I relate a lot to her self confidence issues and we have a lot of shared interests and hobbies. I think she's such a wonderful character and I hope I get to continue enjoying her story for a very long time!
Saoyake:
Sooo I have to talk about my favorite Saori ship, "saoyake", a ship between her and a character named Aoi Miyake. This is a ship name I created myself (^_^)!! I think Saoi/Aori sounds kinda mid so I did a smush of their first and last names, and I think "saoyake" sounds super cute! It's caught on quite a bit in the d4twt community so I'm glad I contributed something to the shipping world hehe.
ANYWAYS, saoyake is amazing and beautiful and I love them both so much. It's totally NOT because they're both my favorite characters and I want them to kiss, there's actually quite a bit of "fuel" within the game so I don't think it's the rarest of rare pairs! I made a whole twitter thread about it if you'd like to read, but TLDR Saori is a shy cute mess and Aoi is totally oblivious to the power her charm has on others. They're both DJs so they get to interact quite a bit, and I hope they eventually get a relationship event focused on them in the future!!!
